to blog or not to blog...

I finding myself a bit conflicted with this whole blog idea.

I love to write, so this happens to be a convienient outlet,

however,

I've also been adverse to blog in general...

Point a. It always seemed self-absorbed to write about your life on the world wide web, and expect others to want to read it.

Point b. It has always seemed strange to me to spend time reading about other's lives instead of living your own.

Hum.

  1. Blog because you want to write, not because you think you have to perform for others.

And blog because I want to read what you have to say.

...Although...this apparently means I'm not living my life...

    Bummer.

:) Happy Blogging, sis. Love yer stinkin guts.

  2. I concur whole-heartedly with Laura!

Though maybe not with the whole not living life bit...

I think that the better we get to know how others think and feel, the better we are able understand ourselves and therefore help others. Sure, we should do that through actual face to face interaction, but because we have the screen of anonymity sometimes we're more forthcoming. Unfortunate, but true.

So what I'm trying to say, is, I love you, Heath, and love to read your writing.

    Thank you.

  3. Hear hear.

And point b coming from a librarian?
You encourage people to read about real and fictitious lives all the time, ya goof.

So just think of it as writing a book with frequently added...and random...chapters about your daily adventures.

    Feel better about it now?
